Founded in 2013, Non Edu (www.non.sa) is an online social learning company that combines game-ification with personalized, adaptive learning-based test prep programs. Non prepares students for the Qiyas standardized exams for high school students in Saudi Arabia. Students can take practice tests in Non platform while collaborating online with other users.
Since its launch, over 247,000 people have used Non platform and, collectively, people had spent “decades studying together” on the platform over its two-year history.
in 2015, Non Edu launched Non Game, a live online multiplayer game focusing on test prep. It offers interactive play with other people studying for the same test. It works to integrate elements of artificial intelligence with its services to adapt to students' unique needs. Non Edu believes that people learn better through peer-to-peer situations instead of teacher-to-student. Students learn from each other in well-organized questions & answers sessions that are directly linked to a specific time in a video. Students can rate questions/answers and share them in Facebook or twitter to engage their own social networks in inspiring, informative, and supportive discussions. Once a question gets highly ranked, a professional instructor will jump in to solve it. In addition, it’s an intelligent system that helps the student in understanding himself and engaging him in practice questions that suit his level in each topic to ensure very high effectiveness and engagement.
Non Edu was 3rd place winner at ArabNet Riyadh Ideathon Competition 2013.
